The London Borough of Hillingdon Mayor's Chosen Charity - 2022/23.
Who We Are?
The Daniella Logun Foundation (DLF) is a niche charity that addresses the need for holistic wellbeing support for children with cancer and their families.
We are a pioneering service that offers emotional, practical and spiritual wellbeing support to children with cancer and their families in Hillingdon and the regional areas.
Our work is rooted in our lived experience of caring for Daniella, and the first-hand understanding of the profound emotional, psychological, and social upheaval that a childhood cancer diagnosis creates on the entire family.
We collaborate with major institutions and community organisations, including the Hillingdon GP Confederation, Great Ormond Street Hospital, King’s College London, Together for Short Lives, The Brain Tumour Charity, HeadSmartUK, Children with Cancer UK, CarersTrust Hillingdon and more. Together, we design projects that address gaps in wellbeing support for children with cancer and their families. Our role in these partnerships is to represent the voice of families with lived experience, share lessons from our work through collaborative discussions, support and training sessions.
We serve children and their families across Hillingdon and surrounding regional areas.
We were one of the London Borough of Hillingdon's Mayor's Chosen Charities and Charity of the Year for Brunel University, Metro Bank and Uxbridge Football Club 2022/2023.
Time never stands still, and memories fade over time. Our graphic designer Chris has created the photograph on the left of Daniella to preserve her legacy through the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and we are delighted to share this gift with the world, a living and longer-lasting vision of our beautiful Dannie.
Hope, Faith & Love
"I have heard both Angela & Terry's experiences, both positive and negative, of their journey from diagnosis to Daniella’s sad passing, and I am convinced that there is so much that can be done to improve this process for others in the same position."

Our promise
To support your child & family wellbeing from diagnosis onwards - you are not alone.
Post COVID-19 Recovery
The Covid-19 pandemic significantly & disproportionately impacted our Children and Young People diagnosed with brain tumours and their families. Lockdown added overwhelming pressure to the already challenging & vulnerable circumstances of our children & their families. For many, this meant greater uncertainty, isolation, wellbeing neglect and disruption to their child's treatment and care. Family members passed away from the virus, school was cancelled, friendships were disconnected, smaller social bubbles were enforced and close physical interaction was restricted. We need your help to grow the DLF to reach more children and their families and help them re-discover ways of rebuilding life post-Covid19? Your support will help us ensure our children and their families are not left at breaking point!
