Jas & Family

Meet our brilliant Jas!

Energy.

A chatterbox, bright, energetic, bubbly and friendly.  Jas is as curious as they come and is always primed with a question for each minute.

We love his cheeky smile and inquisitive eyes.  He doesn't miss a thing and this is why we love and celebrate this brilliant young man.

"When the doctor told me that my son had blood cancer, I thought that everything was finish".

Anxiety

"Before Christmas, Jas became unwell and was rushed to GOSH.  Even the smallest thing like a stomach ache become terrifying for me.  When the doctors were unable to figure out the reason, I become even more worried."

Living with a cancer diagnosis in a child is life changing.  For everyone connected to that child.  Everything changes and our children and their families begin a new journey.  Coping with the changes due to a child's cancer diagnosis can be scary and a rollercoaster of unsettling emotions.  Anxiety, stress, fear, doubt, denial, panic, over reaction, under reaction, anger, resentment, pain.  We at the DLF understand these emotional cycles and offer a listening and non-judgemental ear of Hope, Faith and Love to all our children and their families.  At a time when there are more questions than answers, we are here to support children and their families living with similar situations.  If friendship is all that's needed, we are happy to do just that.  For families who request additional support, we are here to provide emotional, spiritual and practical support that fits around you.

Thankful

"I received this card just now and really thanks, this card has made my day."
