DLF Christmas Toy Drive
Our mission this 2025 Christmas season is simple: ensure every child we serve feels the joy of the Christmas holidays.
A cancer diagnosis strips away a child's normal life—their school, their sports, their safe routine at home. When the holidays arrive, treatment costs and hospital stays reduce a family's ability to celebrate Christmas as they desperately want to. That's where we step in. Our toys are more than gifts; they are therapy, a critical distraction, and a reminder that their community has not forgotten them. We empower parents to focus on their child's health, while we restore the unconditional joy of Christmas which every child deserves.
We need your partnership to succeed. This Christmas, your donation helps us deliver hope. Give these brave children the 'best medicine' of all: a happier Christmas memory.
"Thank you for our Christmas presents. We love it (3 blowing kisses emojis)."

Christmas in Jack's Place
What a busy season our Father Christmas had in 2024, doing ward rounds and bringing smiles to the faces of many of children admitted on Jack's Place children's ward at Northwick Park Hospital Harrow, including those with cancer and their families.
Thanks to the generous donation of 40 gift bags from our friends at Children with Cancer UK we were able to deliver 150 more gifts to children, siblings, and families admitted on the ward. Almost double our output in 2023.
Please donate to give a child with cancer a happier Christmas memory. Get in touch to sponsor our 2025 Christmas Toy & Gift Drive today.
Christmas on Bumblebee Ward
Children with cancer deserve a happier Christmas.
That's why Christmas is one of our most important seasons. Thanks to our partnership with The Hillingdon Hospital, we gift brand new toys and wellbeing treats to support the holistic wellbeing of children and young people with cancer and their families, on the ward or in the community.
At Christmas time, emotions can run very high and our gifting is a small but powerful gesture that reminds them they are loved and not forgotten. We try to bring beautiful smiles to these children and their families. When we succeed, the feeling is priceless!
Join us and help our Christmas Toy & Gift Drive to go further. Together we can nurture the emotional wellbeing of our children with cancer and their families at Christmas.
Make-A-Christmas-Card Project 2024
Thank you Laura Simpson, St. Matthew's Church Youth Worker, the pupils and staff at St Matthew's CoE Primary School for donating handmade Christmas cards to support the emotional wellbeing of Children and Young People diagnosed with brain tumours, other cancers and their families, living in Hillingdon and the surrounding areas.

Bringing joy to Rainbow Children's Ward
Christmas is the best time of the year but cancer in a child can take away the joy, dream, hope and innocence of Christmas away from the child and their family.
Protect our children with cancer and give them a reason to smile again when crying feels easier.

Grateful to share in the lives of children with cancer and their families.
Spreading Love and bringing smiles to children with brain tumours, other cancers and their families at Christmas.
Every child deserves to share in this special joy as many families wind down the year and make special plans to celebrate the Christmas festivities together.
For most children, Christmas is one of the most exciting times of the year, filled with wonderful feeling of glad tidings, gift giving, kindness and merry making.
Sadly, this is not easily the case for our Children & Young People diagnosed with brain tumours, other cancers and their families. We know that life changes when a child is diagnosed with a brain tumour or cancer. For many of our brave children & young people life-saving complex treatment, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, scans & clinics must continue. This exerts serious pressure on their emotional health and family wellbeing. Sadly, not every family remains a unit through this and many parental relationships breakdown.
Since 2020, we have gifted our children and their siblings with brand new toys, to show them love and remind them how precious they are to us as a community. It was a special opportunity to bring joy to our children at home, at a time of year when negative and positive emotions run high.
Childhood cancer impacts our children, their parents, siblings, family & friends from the point of diagnosis onwards. As regular routines stop and medical care takes over, we make it our duty to let them know how much we care, especially at Christmas.
We celebrate the children from Cowley St Laurence primary school, who took time out to create meaningful cards for children with cancer

Spreading the Love - DLF Toy Drive December 2021.
Please help us spread the Love and bring a smile to a child with a brain tumour or cancer this Christmas with our DLF Toy Drive...
Can you imagine spending your Christmas & New Year confined to a hospital bed, connected to a multitude of tubes or medical machines or worse still, fighting for your life, as the world around you celebrates and makes merry. Not something anyone would want to particularly think about. However, those are some of the circumstances many of our children with brain tumours, other cancers and their families in North West London face today. As Dannie experienced in 2015. This is unacceptable.
A brain tumour or cancer diagnosis impacts the child, their parents, siblings, family & friends and the
grief begins from the point of diagnosis. As regular routines stop, the joy, laughter and colour of life as they once knew it fades and they find themselves in new and uncertain settings of specialist clinical care. School, sports, sleep overs, birthday parties, holidays, day's out, shopping trips, fun activities, eating out, cinema trips, Christmas, Valentine's, Easter, Spring & Summer time - everything changes and grief, anxiety, uncertainty, fear, doubt, a sense of isolation sets in.
This is unacceptable. For many children, their close friends feel uncertain as to what to do and over time simply stop visiting. Children with brain tumours or cancers need to remain in specialist diagnostic centres for significant periods, to ensure they receive the complex clinical care they need.
Mums, dads, grand parents or primary carers will need to stop working to live and care for their children at hospital, home or hospice. As family income drops, so does financial independence and 95% of families will seek out state support. This a spiralling cycle that needs to be controlled. You can help us start here and support a child with cancer.
Dannie's Gift Boxes #DanniesLegacy
We know that cancer changes everything, so we don't take special occasions, memorable dates, milestones, family events or seasonal celebrations for granted. We always want our Children and Young People with brain tumours, other cancers and their families to remember just how much we love them. Therefore, we try to offer a wide range of practical support resources to meet that unique need - whether at home, at hospital or at hospice.
