This campaign matters because...
Christmas is an exciting time of the year that promises a wonderful feeling of glad tidings, kindness and merry making for many children. Every child deserves to share in this special joy as many families wind down the year and make special plans to celebrate the Christmas festivities together.
Sadly, this is not easily the case for our Children & Young People diagnosed with brain tumours, other cancers and their families. We know that life changes when a child is diagnosed with a brain tumour or cancer. For many of our brave children & young people life-saving complex treatment, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, scans & clinics must continue. This exerts serious pressure on their emotional health and family wellbeing. Sadly, not every family remains a unit through this and many parental relationships breakdown.
In December 2022, we expressed our love to our children by gifting them and their siblings with brand new toys. It was a fantastic fundraising evening with food, live jazz music - featuring Kunmi Akinola the saxophonist and a 4-piece band, games and a raffle draw to end the night!
