Jas is a chatterbox β bright, energetic, bubbly and friendly. He is as curious as they come and is always primed with a question for each minute. We love his cheeky smile and inquisitive eyes. He doesnβt miss a thing, and this is why we love and celebrate this brilliant young man.
Anxiety
Before Christmas, Jas became unwell and was rushed to GOSH. Even the smallest thing like a stomach ache became terrifying for me. When the doctors were unable to figure out the reason, I became even more worried.
Living with a cancer diagnosis in a child is life-changing β for everyone connected to that child. Everything changes, and our children and their families begin a new journey. Coping with the changes due to a childβs cancer diagnosis can be scary and a rollercoaster of unsettling emotions. Anxiety, stress, fear, doubt, denial, panic, over-reaction, under-reaction, anger, resentment, pain.
Thankful
βI received this card just now and really thanks β this card has made my day.β
When the doctor told me that my son had blood cancer, I thought that everything was finish.
The DLF understands these emotional cycles and offers a listening, non-judgemental ear of Hope, Faith and Love to all our children and their families.
