Volunteers Week runs from 2nd to 9th June every year, celebrating the millions of people who give their time to charitable causes across the UK.

DLF is a volunteer-led charity. Everything we do relies on the dedication of an incredible team of supporters, so this week matters to us more than most.

Our appreciation event

We hosted our Volunteer Appreciation Event on Saturday 29th June 2024, with Cllr Sital Punja as our guest of honour. Cllr Punja has been a friend of the DLF since our earliest days in 2020, and her continued support has meant a great deal.

Haley G was recognised as our Best Volunteer of 2024, in celebration of her tireless commitment to the children and families we support.

500+ volunteers since 2020

Since we launched, thanks to St Matthew's Church Yiewsley, Brunel University student volunteers, Hillingdon4All, the Co-op, Metro Bank, our charity friends, corporate partners, schools and the people of the London Borough of Hillingdon, we have worked with over 500 volunteers.
