September 2024 marked another year of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, our annual call to raise awareness of the emotional, practical and spiritual wellbeing needs of children with cancer and their families.

Every September, DLF joins the national movement for #ChildhoodCancerAwareness Month #CCAM.

We shine a spotlight on the holistic wellbeing and mental health needs of children, young people, and the families navigating a cancer diagnosis. Our deepest gratitude goes to our families, friends, sponsors, and partners across the Healthcare and Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sectors.

2024 highlights

• The #WearSomethingYellow campaign across Hillingdon and beyond
• Launch of our Bumblebee Ward Garden fundraising campaign at the Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce business fair
• Awareness sessions at Laurel Lane Primary School, Hillingdon Hospitals Foundation Trust, and with our partners across the community
• Our Family Fun Day on Saturday 28 September, bringing over 350 people together
• Joining the Stronger Families Hillingdon Partnership to build stronger community links
