Bumblebee Ward Garden Phase 1 complete

A calming outdoor space for children on Hillingdon Hospital's Bumblebee Ward and their families. Phase 1 complete, Phase 2 in fundraising.

Phase 1 of the Bumblebee Ward Garden at Hillingdon Hospital is complete.

What it is

A calming outdoor space for children on Bumblebee Ward (the paediatric inpatient ward at Hillingdon Hospital) and their families to spend time together during treatment. A place to breathe, to play, to be outside for a while.

Why it matters

Long hospital admissions are hard on children and harder on siblings. Outdoor space, even small green space, changes the quality of a stay. It gives families somewhere to sit, somewhere to talk, somewhere that isn't a hospital corridor.

Our partners

The Bumblebee Ward Garden was made possible through our partnership with The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and thanks to donations, sponsorship, and hands-on help from across our community.

Phase 2

We are now fundraising for Phase 2, which will extend the garden and add a dedicated playground area for the children on the ward. If you would like to support Phase 2, please get in touch.
