Brain Tumour Awareness Month 2025
DLF joined the national BTAM campaign in March 2025, sharing families' stories and raising awareness of childhood brain tumours.

March 2025 was Brain Tumour Awareness Month, and DLF joined the national campaign to raise the profile of childhood brain tumours and the wellbeing needs of the children and families affected.
Throughout the month we shared families' stories, campaigned for better awareness of the signs and symptoms of childhood brain tumours, and fundraised to sustain our services for the year ahead.
Why BTAM matters
- Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children in the UK
- Around 500 children are diagnosed with a brain tumour every year
- 45% of childhood brain tumours are diagnosed in emergency settings, double the rate of other cancers
- Over a third of young survivors face long-term challenges with processing and concentration
- 90% of parents and carers report feeling lonely or isolated following a diagnosis
Thank you to everyone who took part.
