Brain Tumour Awareness Month 2023
DLF joined the national BTAM campaign in March 2023, sharing families' stories and advocating for children with brain tumours and their families.

March 2023 was Brain Tumour Awareness Month, and DLF joined the national UK campaign to raise awareness of the impact of brain tumours on children and their families.
Awareness is power. Action is hope.
Throughout March we shared families' stories, ran fundraising activities, and campaigned for better support for the children and families facing a brain tumour diagnosis.
The scale of the challenge
- Around 500 children are diagnosed with a brain tumour every year in the UK
- Brain tumours are responsible for 1 in 5 childhood cancer deaths
- Post-diagnosis, a child can lose mobility, speech, sight or hearing within weeks
- Many families feel isolated and unsupported through the diagnosis phase
BTAM is our chance to bring these issues to the fore and advocate for change.
