How to refer

Our referral process is quick and consent-led. We accept referrals from GPs, hospital teams, community paediatricians, social workers, school SENDCos, and other professionals working with a child and their family. We also accept self-referrals from families directly.

Who we support

  • Children and young people aged 0 to 18 with a diagnosis of a brain tumour or other cancer
  • Their parents, carers, and siblings
  • Families living in the London Borough of Hillingdon and the surrounding areas

We work from the point of diagnosis onwards, throughout treatment, into survivorship, palliative care, and bereavement.

What we offer

  • One-to-one emotional support and counselling
  • Family and sibling wellbeing sessions
  • Dannie's Food Boxes (fresh fruit and vegetables, delivered)
  • SEND support and EHCP advocacy
  • Spiritual and pastoral care
  • Practical help with forms, meetings, benefits and appointments
  • Peer support groups
  • Cherry Blossom bereavement support

Working with schools

When a child is diagnosed with a brain tumour or cancer, school life often changes overnight. Learning, behaviour, mobility, memory, and confidence can all be affected. We work directly with schools and SENDCos to help staff understand what a child is going through, and to make reasonable adjustments that support their return and their ongoing learning.

Through our Awareness in Colour programme, we also visit schools to raise awareness of childhood cancer, and to help staff recognise the early signs and symptoms.
